Artist's Statement
".....a proper cup of tea"
My work explores the marriage of the spontaneous, free & intuitive with the precise & detailed. In this work I explore the interplay of form and space - what happens when form fills space and when space, as a participant, enlivens form.
The name Ciya arose originally during a visualization process on the island of Santorini, Greece in October 1998. For me it refers to the ‘empty aspect of form.’
